Station House sleeps 6(7) and includes:

  • double en-suite bedroom (with an optional extra single bed)
  • two twin bedrooms, all rooms with stunning views of the trains and station
  • sitting room with wood burner and a discrete TV/DVD
  • former ticket office with comfy seating for watching trains, reading or playing 78s on the gramophone
  • first floor bathroom with traditional-style suite and electric shower
  • kitchen with traditional sink and range (and a pantry full of mod cons!)
  • hallway complete with harmonium, for the musically minded
  • large front garden, fenced for dogs
  • private gravelled back garden with patio and parking.
  • Well behaved dogs welcome downstairs, for a small extra charge.
  • Additional downstairs shower room available for a small extra charge.
  • Improved access for wheelchairs across the yard to the back door.

We will respect your privacy, but be on-hand if you need us. Family members keep up with garden jobs from time to time.

Walter ArtleyMr Artley was the last full time signalman and de facto Station Master resident at the house from 1931 to 1946.
